Joan is a chartered Health and Safety specialist and qualified nurse with over twenty years of experience working within various departments of many Local Authorities.
Her previous HSE assignments include providing health and safety advice, carrying out health and safety inspections and safety audits on all types of premises including multi-storey housing establishment. In addition, she has prepared and delivered health and safety training on First aid at Work, General Health & Safety Awareness, Fire Safety Awareness, Fire Marshals, Risk assessment, Manual handling of Heavy Loads, Safe use of Hazardous Substance, Confined Spaces, Asbestos General Awareness, Managing Building Safely and Managing Stress/Resilience Awareness.
Before joining Epinots, Joan was the lead officer for the development of stress awareness management standards within the London Borough of Waltham Forest and the lead officer in managing large-scale health and safety well-being days.
Joan plays an active part in North London College Mentoring/Coaching Scheme and is a school governor for a local school. She enjoys playing Netball, Piano grade 3 and singing as a chorister.
